Like all our spices, Fermente Mutfağım Ceylon Cinnamon is certified Organic, has pesticide and gluten analysis reports. Our spices are pure spices that are not irradiated. Using a small amount is sufficient and effective. There are two different types of our products in stick and powder form.
What is Ceylon Cinnamon?
Ceylon cinnamon, also known as true cinnamon, is the inner bark of a tropical tree grown specifically in Sri Lanka and is cracked and dried. Cassia cinnamon, also known as China Cinnamon, is a classic cinnamon that is easily found in the market due to its cheapness. Cinnamon cassia also contains a compound called coumarin, which is potentially toxic at high levels. Ceylon cinnamon does not contain coumarin. Moreover, this is not the only difference from cinnamon Cassia. Ceylon cinnamon is also superior to cinnamon Cassia in terms of aroma, flavor and benefits to the body.
